“They say good things come in small packages and that’s exactly what Dakte stands for! Dakte is a Konkani word and means little or tiny!
This cute little air conditioned café sitting right on the Siolim main road was a much needed addition to the locality. This little cozy, European vibe café belongs to the young Entrepreneurs’ who own Cuebebar Smokehouse in Assagaon.
Â
Â
The moment you enter, the cafe welcomes you with warm and cosy vibes. And happy & smiling faces make your experience even more hospitable. Nisha Almeida and Rumi ( Shimonti ) are a super girls team and have been part of the Cuebebar success story before they started Dakte.
Â
Â
It may be a cute little place but the menu is definitely not little. They have a wide variety of healthy and indulgent café food to satiate your taste buds. It also looks like a super cute place to sit and work while you sip on one of the best coffees!
Â
Â
The menu at dakte has options for everybody, with an all day breakfast, loaded pancakes, sandwiches, salads, smoothies, milkshakes and some fun twists on coffee too.
Â
Â
Apart from their menu, the display counter at dakte always has some fun desserts to choose from with vegan, gluten free and some healthy options too. I tried the Meaty Brekkie, Raw Bounty Truffles, Date, Peanut butter and Coconut Energy Bites (Vegan/Gluten Free) and Double Chocolate Brownie Balls.Â
Amongst all the things I tried, my favourite was the Meaty Brekkie – the perfect way to begin the day with very generous portions.
Â
Â
I ended my meal with an antioxidant loaded Acai Berry Smoothie and the platter of truffle balls, only wishing I could maybe have eaten some more. I have my eyes on the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Banana, Cream and Caramel pancakes to try on my next visit.
Â
Â
Dakte is definitely a much needed cafe for Siolim, head over and you just might be surprised with what they have to offer from their tiny little village cafe.”
